You may wonder if a name like Simply Gorgeous is a tad too lavish for a cheese. Well, we can offer a few justifcations for our exuberant nomenclature.

For starters, our Vintage Cheddar is carefully matured for an absolute minimum of 15 months, under the watchful eye of our master cheesemaker. His expertise was recognised at the 2007 International Food Exhibition at ExCel in London. Almost 2,000 cheeses, from as far away as the USA and South Africa, were entered and given a grilling in a thorough four stage process. The eventual verdict? Our 'Vintage Cheddar' won gold, the ninth time Wyke Farms has won a world class award. Which we all thought was simply brilliant. Sorry, Simply Gorgeous.
